William B. (Bugs) Jordan, Jr., age 88, of White Oak, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2015, after a long illness. He was the son of William B. and Margaret Wagner Jordan, Sr. He was raised by his father and grandmother, Jennie Jordan, after his mother died when he was 18 months old. He is survived by his wife; June Wynn Jordan, daughter; Lisa (Chris) Jeffer and grandchildren; Christopher and Ashlee Jeffer all of Williamsburg, VA, Chris Wampler who was like a son and was also his caregiver and Dale Wampler who was also like a son both of McKeesport, cousin; Victoria ( the late Dave) Martin of N. Carolina and Peggy Lou (Jim) Heatley of Flordia. He was preceded in death by two sons; an infant who died in 1960 and Terry Lee Jordan, Esq. who died in 2001, and sister; Jean Jordan. He served as a signalman Third Class on the Destroyer Escort, USS Johnnie Hutchins, during WW ll and these men held their first reunion in 1975 and William attended the reunion each year since that time. He was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church where he as a former Sunday School Teacher, a church treasurer, an usher, the treasurer of the Trustees and a member of the church dart ball league. He was a plumber for Local Union #27 and for the last 10 years before retirement he was employed by Allegheny County Parks. He also prepared and provided blueprints for many of the buildings in Pittsburgh. He loved to travel and every year took his family to Ocean City, New Jersey.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, 412 678 6177) on Wed. from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11:00 am. Burial will follow. Remembrances may be made to West Side United Methodist Church, 307 Atlantic Ave., McKeesport, PA 15132.
