Wilbur "Scott" Friend

Wilbur “Scott” Friend, age 61, of Wilkins Twp., PA, joined in peace with his dad, Rod Selders, on Sunday, October 4, 2026. He was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 21, 1965, and was the son of Gayna Selders of White Oak, PA.

Scott is already missed by his mom; sister, Konnie Hollinger of Wilkins Twp., PA; brother, Samuel Selders of McKeesport, PA; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Scott was the purest form of light for all in his path. He will be remembered for his strong will, determination, and a unique stubbornness completely his own. He embraced life with genuine enthusiasm and pride, making his accomplishments felt by everyone around.

Family and friends are invited to honor Scott’s memory at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, and Adam Striffler Galaski, funeral directors, 412-678-6177) on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services officiated by Rev. David Morse. Prayers and memories will be shared beginning at 1:30 p.m.
