Vincent L. Swiech

Vincent L. Swiech, age 90, of Dravosburg, died on Oct. 6, 2014. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 19, 1924 and is the son of the late Eugene J. and Alexandrea Swiech Swiech. He is the beloved husband of the late Florence "Flo" Zabaglo Swiech. He is a retired oil processor and craneman for Allis Chalmers Co. in North Side, Pittsburgh. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and was a life member of the VFW. He is a member of Corpus Christi Church.

He is survived by sons, L.J. Swiech of Dravosburg, Vincent L. Swiech, Jr. of Elizabeth Twp., Eugene J. (Carrie) Swiech of Elizabeth Twp., Gregory R. (Debbie) Swiech of Irwin, Norman E. (Barbara) Swiech of Upper St. Clair; grandchildren, Heather, Brandon, Jason, Amy, Stephen, Lindsay, Nathan, Julie, Rebecca & Katherine; brothers, Eugene (Janet) Swiech of West Mifflin and Francis Swiech of Pittsburgh. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Nicolette.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Thursday 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral mass will be at Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport on Friday at 12:00 pm with Father Michael Maranowski officiating. Burial will follow at McKeesport Versailles Cemetery.
