Valerie Dougherty

Valerie Dougherty, 30, died Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born in McKeesport on February 13, 1985 to Alice Predko Dougherty and the late Richard Dougherty. Valerie participated in the Special Olympics often and achieved many awards and medals. She is survived by, sister; Kathy (Phil) Brogan of Brunswick OH., brothers; Rick (Nancy) Goff of McKeesport and Leroy Goff of Emporium, uncles; Bob (Shirley) and Don (Linda) Dougherty, Ted "Sunny"(Dora) Predko of Homer City, PA, aunts; Nancy Anderegg of East Brady, PA and Joanne (Norman) Pickering of Driftwood. Sister in-law Lori Giacomelli. Valerie was preceded in death by brother Peter Giacomelli. Service will be held Friday July 17, 2015 at 10am in the funeral home chapel at HUNTER-EDMUNDSON-STRIFFLER FUNERAL HOME, 600 Market St., McKeesport, PA 15132, 412-678-6191.
