In loving memory of Tonya Lee Potts, age 47, of McKeesport, PA passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was born in McKeesport, PA on October 5, 1978.
With heavy hearts and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Tonya Lee Potts, who entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2026, at the age of 47. A lifelong resident of McKeesport, PA, Tonya departed this earthly life peacefully and awakened in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Tonya was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Betty Elaine Potts and Robin Lee Potts, as well as her cherished daughter, Kanaada Tajja Ball, and her sister, Robin Lee Potts-Allen.
From an early age, Tonya demonstrated strength, independence, and resilience. Becoming a mother at a young age shaped the course of her life and taught her the depth and beauty of unconditional love. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her children and later embraced one of her favorite roles in life—that of a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Tonya graduated from McKeesport Area High School and was a faithful member of Creative Ministries Berachah, where her faith continued to grow and sustain her throughout life's journey.
Those who knew Tonya will forever remember her vibrant personality and the joy she brought wherever she went. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoying sweet treats, singing with enthusiasm, coloring, laughing, and filling every room with love and energy. Her final day reflected the happiness she cherished—surrounded by family, laughter, sugary treats, music, and the precious moments she loved most. She laid down to rest in peace and awoke with the Lord.
Tonya leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children, Brandon Mason Potts and Zion Racquel Potts; her beloved grandchildren, Brandon Potts Jr., Marley Potts, McKenzie Potts, Mekhi Potts, and Adore Potts; her sisters, Delilah C. Potts-Rutledge and Racquel Lee Rivera-Potts; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love.
Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we rejoice in knowing that she is at peace in the arms of the Lord. Her love, strength, laughter, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and everyone blessed to know her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
