Timothy Alan Tatters, Sr.

Timothy Alan Tatters, Sr., age 78, of White Oak, PA, died on Thursday, July 18, 2026. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on May 30, 1948, and was the son of the late Edward, Sr. and Elizabeth Maroda Tatters.

He was employed by U.S. Steel before enlisting in the United States Army in 1968. He served in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He completed a three-year tour and obtained his pilot’s license during his service. When Timothy returned home, he was co-owner of 3T Hauling and Excavating. He was later employed by Allegheny County as a police officer with over twenty-one years of service. He was a member of the White Oak American Legion Post 701 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8430.

Timothy is survived by his sons, Thomas E. (Samantha O’Leary) Tatters, Sr. of White Oak, PA; Timothy A. Tatters, Jr. of McKeesport, PA; grandchildren, Charlie Savannah Tatters; Thomas E. Tatters, Jr.; Timothy A. Tatters, III; and Destiny Louise Tatters; great-grandchildren; brother, Edward “Butch” (the late Jacqueline) Tatters, Jr. of White Oak, PA; and his canine companion, Max.

In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by his twin sons, Timothy Alan Tatters; and Michael Edward Tatters.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Timothy’s memory on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the military service at 6:30 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
