Thomas E. Kostkas, age 74, died on August 31, 2013 at home after a lengthy illness.. He was born on April 12, 1939 in McKeesport, PA. He was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Collins) Kostkas and the husband of (wife) Marilyn (Como) of North Versailles and father of (son) Thomas A. (Darlene Zukowski) of Elizabeth. He was employed by Westinghouse Airbrake and spent his last years at Westinghouse Electric until its closing in 1988.
He is survived by sister Joyce Jessup and brother in law George of Liberty, brother Robert Kostkas and sister in law Jill Sherer of Leechsburg; niece Alexis Bricker of Liberty and nephew David Miller of Atlanta, Georgia; grandniece Kara Brown and grandnephew Christopher Brown of Liberty. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
During his pain filled days he developed an interest in UFO's and their connection to the bible to which he pinned a book explaining his views.
The family and friends of Thomas Kostkas would like to express our gratitude and thanks to all who prayed, gave words of comfort and helped in his care and helped any other way during these trying times.

Friends and Family will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday 6 to 8, services will be held Wednesday in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon by Pastor Gary LaPietra from Faith Baptitst Church in Wilkins Twp. Committal service and interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
