Thomas Francis Dougherty, age 71, of Duquesne, PA, died on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born in McKeesport, PA, on August 6, 1954, and was the son of the late James “Ted” and Mary Ann Pomiabo Dougherty.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Jean Newmeyer Dougherty of Duquesne, PA; son, Thomas P. (Megan Berta) Dougherty of Harrison City, PA; brothers, Raymond (Lynn) Dougherty of White Oak, PA; James “Chipper” (Barbara) Dougherty of Normalville, PA; Michael “Mickey” (Patti) Dougherty of West Mifflin, PA; and Daniel Dougherty of Versailles, PA; nieces; nephews; cousins; and beloved dogs, Saber; Tundra; and Bear.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers, William P. Dougherty; John A. Dougherty; nephew, Timothy W. Dougherty; and grand-nephew, Tyler Elash.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Thomas’s memory on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
