Thelma E. Sharpe

Thelma E. Sharpe, age 84, of McKeesport, died Nov. 24, 2013. She was
born in McKeesport on Sept. 6,1929 and is the daughter of the late
Pietro and Nicolina Marconi Tambella. She was preceded in death by
her husband Kenneth V. Sharpe. She was employed at G.C. Murphy
Company for 45 years. She first was in the personnel department with
the Vice President, William Sweet and then she was the secretary to the
President, Charles Lytle. She retired as the Executive Secretary of Ames
Department Store for James McKitrick. She is a member of St. Patrick
Church in McKeesport and was a member of several card clubs.
She is survived by her sister; Gloria Amendola (Thomas) Johnston of
White Oak, nephew; Mark Amendola of Endicott, NY, Godchildren, many cousins and
special friends. She is also survived by caregivers; Gail Ross and Janet
Lacone.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation &
Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler
Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed. at 10:00 a.m. in St.
Patrick's Church by Fr. Vincent Velas. Entombment will follow in
Lebanon Chapel Mausoleum of West Mifflin.
