Terrence "Terry" John Cleary

Terrence John Cleary, 68, of Liberty Borough, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He was born Oct. 10, 1947, in Braddock. He is the son of the late John and the late Elizabeth J. (Froelich) Cleary. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deidre (Kirkwood) Cleary. Terrence was a coach for South Allegheny football and basketball for over 30 years. He was a score keeper for Serra Catholic Girls Basketball. He was a graduate and star quarterback at Western State. He was a member of St. Mark's Parish, he loved trains and was his grandkids No. 1 sports fan. He was loved by everyone he met. He is survived by his two daughters, Trisha (Dan) Tolmer, of Moon Township, and Tanis (Shaun) Kennedy, of Elizabeth; and four sons, Michael (Bre) Cleary, of Port Vue, Brian (Nikki) Cleary, of Robinson Township, Timmy Cleary, of Jefferson Hills, and Keith (Amy) DiMarco, of Glassport. He was the brother of Judy (Jay) Patterson, of Belle Vernon, and William (Maureen) Cleary, of North Versailles; and grandfather of Karlee, Kaitlyn, Tristan, Lexy, Justice, McCade, Matt, Faith, Gavin, Krystian, Abby and Kassidee. Brother-in-law of Ron Kirkwood of Glassport. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth (Janey) Cleary. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION & MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177, Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Monday at St. Mark Parish, 1125 Romine, Port Vue, PA 15133, with Father Daniel Straughn officiating. Interment will follow.
