Shannon Lee Oberley, age 55, of Glassport, PA, died on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on April 30, 1970, and was the daughter of the late Delores Stack Oberley.
Shannon was known to aways be remodeling or redecorating her home. Once she started a project she was determined to finish no matter the cost. She loved to constantly have an ongoing project. She also enjoyed kayaking and spending time outdoors but her obligations to her children took priority. Shannon was a fierce woman, a lioness in human form. She fought hard for them along with others, as social justice and activism were a huge part of who she was. Everyone who knew her saw that she was a force to be reckoned with, especially when it came to her children.
Shannon is survived by her children, Samantha D’Angelo of Glassport, PA; and Nicholas D’Angelo of Glassport, PA; siblings, David (Carrie) Oberley of Bolivar, PA; Danny Oberley of Orlando, FL; Christine Oberley of Hazel Green, AL; and Michelle “Mushy” (Cliff) Pierce of Glassport, PA; her three cherished cats, Picasso; Leonardo; and Astrid; nieces; nephews; and many beloved friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Shannon’s memory on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
