Ruth Catherine Burton, age 93, of Dravosburg, died March 16, 2011. Born in McKeesport on Dec. 20, 1917 she is the daughter of the late James G. and Alweena Shample Jenkins and is the wife of the late John William Burton. She is survived by daughter Janice W. Catalogna of Dravosburg, granddaughters Debra (Robert) Krieger of Macungie, PA and Lori (Louis) Hegedus of N. Huntingdon, PA and great grandchildren Christopher, Cory and Cameron Krieger and Bryce and Brady Hegedus, nieces and nephews.
She was a founding member of the Dravosburg Boys Club, a Board Member of the McKeesport Art Group and a 50 year member of the Dravosburg United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, 740 Pgh.-McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, 15034 (412 678 6192) on Sunday from 6 until 8 pm. Services will be held on Monday at Noon in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Kenneth Jones. Burial will follow.
