Rosella Cavanaugh

Rosella Cavanaugh, age 93, of Calabash, NC, formerly of West Mifflin, died Friday, January 16, 2015, at Brightwater in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born March 31, 1921 in Crabapple, Ohio to the late Maine and Cora (Hickman) Lingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brothers Jack Lingo and Jerry Lingo; and sister Joan Phillips.

Rosella is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Byron) Scott of Calabash, NC; her grandson, Glenn (Jamie) Scott of Tanner, AL, and granddaughter, Denise (Greg) Zawitoski of Eldersburg, MD; and four great-grandchildren. She moved from West Mifflin to Brunswick Plantation in Calabash in 2001.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, 740 Pgh.-McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, 15034 (412-678-6192) on Thursday from 1:00 until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Airgood officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her Okinawa Marine husband in Jefferson Memorial Park in the Pittsburgh suburb of Pleasant Hills.
