Ronald R. Leyland

Ronald Richard Leyland, 76, of Elizabeth, died Sunday, May 31, 2015. He was born Sept. 26, 1938, in Homestead, a son of the late Earl and Mary Trainor Leyland. He is retired from the former G.C. Murphy Company from the shipping and receiving department. He is a veteran having served in the Navy. He is survived by his wife, Janet Quinn Leyland; daughter, Lisa (Nick) Beckas, of Pleasant Hills; siblings, Robert (Dolores) Leyland, of Bradenton, Fla., and Linda Hippard, of Greenock; and grand fur babies, Buster-Boo, Rocky, Apollo and Abbie. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl and Jack. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK INC., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow.
