Ronald Lee Godsey

Ronald Lee Godsey, age 58, of Eighty Four, died February 16, 2016 following a long illness at Select Specialty Care in McKeesport Hospital. He was born in Harrisburg on August 4, 1957 and is the son of the late Harry and Shirley Little Godsey. He was a graduate of California University. He was employed at Western Center in Canonsburg and then Mayview State Hospital as a Vocational Specialist until it closed.
He was a longtime member of the Sons of American Legions Posts 377 & 940 and the California Hill Gun Club. He enjoyed watching all the Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Pirates, fishing, travelling, and loved friends and family gatherings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita F. Garee Godsey; sons, Ryan Carlton Godsey of Eighty Four and Rhett Tyler Godsey of Hopewell Twp.; granddaughter, Annabelle Godsey; brother, Bart (Carolyn) Godsey and sister, Kim (Tim) Cornman both of Carlisle; nieces, Chasity Forey of Carlisle, Richelle Lindula of Alaska; nephews, Taylor Garee and Sean Garee of Beaver Falls; brother-in-law, Mark Garee of Beaver Falls.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
