Robert (Bob) F. Smrekar, Jr, age 51, of Dravosburg, died July 8, 2011 of natural causes. He was born Feb. 21, 1960 and is the son of Nancy Shade Smrekar of Ross Twp. and the late Robert F. Smrekar.
He was a lover of all walks of nature and was known as Bob the Tree Man to most. Everything he did in his life was on his own terms and with his own hands. He spend most of his life making people dance and laugh through DJing or making homes and gardens beautiful. He left his mark on so many people's hearts and for that he will be dearly remembered for all time.
He is also survived by his wife of 29 years, Tammi Seaman Smrekar, children Ashley Smrekar of Washington, PA, Robert F. Smrekar, lll and Erin Smrekar of Dravosburg, granddaughter Naudia, siblings James (Maria) Smrekar of West View, Lisa (Robert "George") Carlin of N. Side and Lorrie (Alan) Grundler of Pgh. and his dog, Coda.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, 740 Pgh.-McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, 15034 (412 678 6192) on Tues. from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Services will be in the funeral home chapel on Wed. at 11:00 am
Remembrances may be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven-No Kill Shelter, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
