Raymond D. Taylor, age 73, of Duquesne, PA, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026. He was born in McKeesport, PA on February 17, 1953 and was the son of the late Harold F. and Catherine “Kitty” D. Libengood Taylor. He was employed by U.S. Steel Homestead Works and then Frank Mance Plating, LLC, as a cleaner/polisher for forty years.
Ray is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Charles) Beck; nephews, Karl (Erica Johnson) Beck; and Jason Beck of Loudon, TN; and Major Timothy (Major Lydia Fakes) Beck; and grand-nephews, Arthur Beck; Walter Beck; and Angus “Gus” Beck of Warrenton, VA; cousins who were at his side when he passed, Karen Kunak; Deborah Krotz; and Joyce Waratuke. Ray is also survived by an uncle, James R. Taylor of The Villages, FL; many other cousins; and his beloved pet, Gunny.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Taylor; maternal and paternal grandparents; many aunts; uncles; cousins; and beloved canines, Fritz; Fella; Ripley; and Riley.
The family wishes to thank Danny Mance for his assistance and support during Ray’s illness; Advantage Hospice; and the staff at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport, PA.
Ray had a goal to move to Tennessee, but God found him a better place.
