Nicholas "Nick" C. Stella

Nicholas "Nick" C. Stella, of Port Vue, died August 15, 2015. He was born in Monessen on May 3, 1922 and is the son of the late Antonio and Antoinette Satriano Stella and was preceded in death by his siblings Helen Belany and Victor Stella. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Normandy, and he was employed at U.S. Steel, National Tube in McKeesport for over 30 years. He was a member of Port Vue United Methodist Church, Purple Heart Chapter #9, and a lifetime member of the Port Vue Vigilant Hose Company. He was a former member of the Port Vue Fireman's Bowling League, the Port Vue Senior Citizens, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #52.

He is survived by his sister, Fannie Stella Como, nieces and nephews; Karl Belany, Dr. John (Toni Marie) Belany, Keith (Laura) Belany, Kathy Jean (Peter) Hanas, Carolyn (Darryl) Sigel, great-nieces and nephews; Nicholas (Ashley) Hanas, Nathan (Laura) Hanas, Melanie Jean (Manuel) Williams, Paul Belany, Mollie (Rex) Rager, and Jimmy Belany, great great nieces and nephews; Hailey Grace, Aubrey Rose, Solomon Eugene, and Brady Allen.

Friends will be received at the Hunter-Edmundson Striffler Funeral Home Co., 600 Market St. McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-6191) on Sunday from 2-5 pm. Services will be held Monday at Port Vue United Methodist Church at 11 am.
