Nicholas P. Marovich, age 68, of Port Vue, died Monday, April 28, 2014. He was born in McKeesport on May 26, 1945 and is the son of the late Nick and Mary Tomco Marovich. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Equitable Gas Company. He was a member of both the Port Vue and the Dravosburg American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Melinda Brennen Marovich; daughters, Cortney Marovich of Columbus, Ohio, Christina Marovich of Pittsburgh, and Cynthia (Tom) Minnick of McKeesport; grandchildren, Tayla and Tommy; sister, Yvonne (Gerald) Dubyak of Omaha, Nebraska.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. Services will be held at Noon in the funeral home chapel following Thursday's visitation officiated by Fr. Matthew Elanjileth. There will be a Celebration of Life at Port Vue American Legion following the funeral services.
