Nellie "Ella" Miller Yurina, age 91, of Versailles died May 2, 2012. She was born in Coulter on July 15, 1920. She was the daughter of the late John and Ella Marie Bullion Wilson. She was preceded in death by husband Orion Miller and later husband Frank Yurina.
She retired from McKeesport Hospital and served in the U.S. Army during WWII, where she served three years overseas in England, France, and Germany, as a communications expert.
Surviving are grandchildren, Robin Miller of Plum, Andrew Miller of Glassport, and John Miller of Hollywood, FL; great granddaughter Victoria Miller and sisters Pearl Schaeffer of McKeesport and Kathleen Lewis of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by sons, Raymond and John Miller; grandchildren, Raymond and Dawn Miller; siblings, Hazel Brvovanch, Marian Sandusky, and Jack Wilson.
She was a member of the Local Teamsters #205 and American Legion of White Oak.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Services will be held Monday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick's Parish. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
