Michael A. Welsh

Michael A. Welsh, 27, of McKeesport, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015. He was born April 4, 1988, in Pittsburgh, and is the son of William Welsh, of Shaler, and Winnie (Pat Gallagher) Gricar, of McKeesport. He worked in construction for many years with Pat Gallagher, who was like a father to him. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his brothers, Billy "Boo", Sean Kuna, of Shaler; sisters, Lydia Welsh and Winnie Kuna, of Shaler, and Amy Gallagher, of Duquesne; aunts, Lisa and Lorrie, of McKeesport, Janel and Sharon, of North Huntingdon, and Joelle (Eric) Whiteman, of White Oak; uncle, Roger Welsh, of Pittsburgh; grandparents, Joel and Lois Elm, of McKeesport; nieces and nephews, Deven, Geneah, Freddy and Heath; best friend, Darrell Diaz, of McKeesport; and his faithful companion and Pitbull, Skyy.

Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson Striffler Funeral Home Co., 600 Market St. McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-6191) on Thursday from 2-8 pm. Services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow.
