Mary Lemack Nemchick

Mary Lemack Nemchick, age 93, of McKeesport's Tenth Ward, died peacefully surrounded by her family at Kane Hospital on March 5, 2015. She was born in McKeesport on June 21, 1921 and is the daughter of the late John and Mary Sidun Lemack and the wife of the late Emil A. Nemchick. She was a life-long resident of Tenth Ward. She was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church where she faithfully said the rosary daily and previously was the president of the St. Nicholas PTA. She worked at the Carpatho-Rusyn booth at International Village for many, many years. She loved her family very much.

She is survived by her children, Carole Grueso of the Tenth Ward section of McKeesport, Donald (Joyce Ann Barrett) Nemchick of Munhall; grandchildren, Renee (Dana) Siegfried of Seville, Ohio, Billy Faust of Tenth Ward, McKeesport; great-grandchildren, Adia, Darien, and Billy.

She is preceded in death by siblings, Steve, Ann and John Lemack.

Friends will be received at the Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market St., McKeesport 15132 (412-678-6191) on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Services will be held on Monday in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. and officiated by Fr. Donald Voss. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
