Mary A. Hoffman

Mary A. Hoffman, age 95, of White Oak died September 13, 2014. She was born in McKeesport on November 17, 1918 and is the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Black Fleming. She was the wife of the late David G. Hoffman. Mother of Paul (Lisa) Hoffman of Emmaus, PA and the late David R. ( surviving spouse Judy) Hoffman of Abita Springs, LA. Grandmother of P. Christopher (Heather)Hoffman, Mia Carra (Vincent) Bywalski, David P. (Debbie) Hoffman, Jeffery Hoffman and the late Lori Van Matre. She is survived by eight (8) great grandchildren.

Mary was a retired Case Worker Supervisor for the PA Department of Public Welfare in McKeesport. She was a member of the former St. Pius V Ladies Guild and a member of Corpus Christi Church.
In addition to her son David, granddaughter Lori and a great grandson she was preceded in death by sisters; Catherine Faith and Margaret Bradshaw and brother; James Fleming and four step brothers.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 am at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow.
