Mary Hnat

Mary Hnat, 93, of Pittsburgh, formerly of McKeesport, passed Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was born on Jan. 8, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Wasyl and Eva Mykicz Hnat. She was employed in the Tele Computer Center of Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Monroeville. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Ahearn, of Williamsburg, Va.; her nephew and caregiver, Thomas Kohlmyer, of Pittsburgh; other nephews and nieces, Robert (the late Lisa) Gorman of West Mifflin, Kurt (Michelle) Kohlmyer, of Richmond, Va., Michael (Wendy) Hnat, of Dubois, Kimberly (John) Prelich, of West Mifflin, Kristine Hnat, of Elizabeth, Carrie Moehring and Dennis Sauer, of Carnegie; and great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by siblings, Ann Gregoric, Pauline Kohlmyer, Michael and Peter Hnat. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Monday at HUNTER-EDMUNDSON-STRIFFLER FUNERAL HOME, 600 Market St., McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-6192), with Father Greg Madeya officiating. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
