Mary Catherine Gross

Mary Catherine Gross, age 82, of McKeesport, died April 20, 2014. She was born in Hazelwood on Oct. 23, 1931 and is the daughter of Alfred W. and Catherine Decoursey Gross. She is survived by her brother; Alfred W. Gross, Jr. of McKeesport.

She previously was employed by G.C. Murphy Company and the Christy Park Credit Union as a secretary. She was a member of the former Saint Pius Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, Ladies of Charity and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She is currently a member of Corpus Christi Church where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity. She also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a great Notre Dame fan.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. Mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow.
