Mary "Pat" George

Mary "Pat" George, age 89, of Port Vue, died July 15, 2011 at Southwestern Nursing Facility. She was born in McKeesport on Feb. 24, 1922 and is the daughter of the late James and Hilda Foster. She was one of the original members of the Port Vue Women's Club and a member of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church.

She is the wife of the late Kenneth E. George and is survived by children Kenneth E. (Mary Ellen) George of Whitehall, Patricia Nelms of Youngstown, Ohio and Tammy (Michael) Jakub of Greensburg, grandchildren Stacie, Ryan, Alexandria, Bethany, Aaron, Susan, Sharon and Darren, great grandchild Riley, and sister of Thomas (Ruth) Foster of Brentwood and the late Ada Sponagle and James Foster. She is also survived by best friends and neighbors Louise and Chuck Jones of Port Vue.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 1:00 pm at St. Mark's Church, Romine Ave., Port Vue. Entombment will follow.
