Marjorie Caroline Diffendal

Marjorie Caroline Diffendal, age 88, of Port Vue, died Monday, October 13, 2014. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on March 14, 1926 and is the daughter of the late Samuel and Viola Caldwell Bourne. She was the loving wife of the late James L. Diffendal. She was an "Antiquer" and would buy and sell antiques in Shannon Antique Village in Castle Shannon and various other stores. She was also an avid gardener and loved to read. She was a member of St. Mark Parish and was a former president of the Christian Mothers, a member of the former Port Vue Women's Bowling League and a life-time Pirate and Steeler fan.

She is survived by her children, Elaine (Thomas) Bridges of White Oak, Susan Barefoot of Orlando, Florida, James S. (Ethel) Diffendal of Bethel Park, Randolph (Sandra) Diffendal of North Huntingdon, Mark (Cathleen) Diffendal of South Park and Lawrence S. Diffendal of Bethel Park; grandchildren, Kelly, Vernon, Thomas, James, Mark, Michael, Lee Ann; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (the late William) Sullivan of Colleyville, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brother, Robert Bourne and granddaughter, Holly.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wednesday 4:00-8:00 pm. Mass will be held at St. Mark Church, Romine Avenue, Port Vue on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
