Marie Dorothy Viviano Meyer

Marie Dorothy Viviano Meyer, age 96, of North Huntingdon, PA, went home to her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 20, 2026. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, just 26 days short of her 97th birthday.

Marie’s journey took her from Pittsburgh, PA, to the sunny shores of Florida, a place she truly loved. She moved to The Villages, Florida, where she and the love of her life, Daniel Metzger, and built their beautiful retirement home together.

A woman of deep, unwavering faith, Marie’s life was filled with music and joy. She loved to sing and found immense happiness on the dance floor. Dan was not only the love of her life but also her cherished ballroom dancing partner, and they spent countless hours dancing through life together. Marie's legacy of love lives on through her family, whom she adored. In 2016, she returned to Pittsburgh, PA, to be closer to family.

Marie is survived by her children, Keith Olmstead of Cleveland, OH; Douglas (Nancy) Olmstead of Winston-Salem, NC; and Diane Lavender of North Huntingdon, PA; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband, John F. Meyer; first husband, James F. Olmstead; sisters, Alberta Behr; and Delores Sill; and beloved partner and dancing companion, Daniel Metzger.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Suburban Community Church, 1787 Arona Road, Irwin, PA, 15642, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Services for Marie will begin at Noon and will be officiated by Pastor Skip.
