Mandy G. Lyons Giger

Mandy G. Lyons Giger, age 50, of White Oak, died May 8, 2014. She was born in McKeesport on November 8, 1963 and is the daughter of the late Thomas P. Lyons and Luana G. Best Lyons Wilchusky. She was a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she received her Master's Degree in Education. She had such a strong belief that education is important at all ages and was a proud employee of Hempfield School District as a Kindergarten Teacher. She also was a member of St. Patrick's Church in McKeesport.

In addition to her husband, Philip G. Giger, she is survived by her loving children who her life revolved around; Brooke Nicole and Max Philip, sisters; Wendy Lyons (Jeffrey) DiBeradin of McKeesport, Jodi Lyons (Bradley) Harrison of N. Huntingdon, Janean Lyons (Andrew) Myers of Solon, Ohio, Natalie Lyons (Gregory) Mayfield of Hudson, Ohio and Allison Lyons (Christopher) Callahan of Riverview, Florida, half-brother; Bernard Leonard Wilchusky, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Father and Mother in Law, Daniel and Stella Giger of White Oak, brother in law, Mitchell Giger of N. Huntingdon, sister-in-law, JoLynn Giger (Scott) Striegel of Bethel Park, step-mother; Judith Lyons and Uncle Edward Lyons both of N. Huntingdon, many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by brother in law, Danny Giger.

Family and friends may join for a mass. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at St. Patrick's Church, 310 32nd St., McKeesport with Fr. Vincent Velas officiating.
