Mabel A. Liberatore, 81, of McKeesport died August 3, 2014. She was born in McKeesport on September 21, 1932 and is the daughter of the late Harry and Zelda Gault Smith and the wife of the late Louis Liberatore. She was employed at the McKeesport Daily News. Mabel loved to read and go dancing with her husband, Louis at the Palisades and Turners in McKeesport. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family. Some of her favorites were trips to the beach and bird watching.

She is survived by her children; Larry (Ann Marie) Liberatore of Murrysville, Lorie (William) Cannon of Spring Lake, North Carolina, grandchildren; Anne (Jason) Lemak, Stephen Liberatore, Sara Cannon and Benjamin (Stephanie) Cannon, great-grandchildren; Francesca and Liliana Lemak and Byron Cannon, brother; Glenn (Betty) Smith of White Oak. She is preceded in death by siblings; Donald Smith, Harry Smith, Jr. and Sarah Ainsworth.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery.
