Louise Belback Zay, age 79, died Sept. 2, 2012. She resided in White Oak and was formerly of N. Versailles. She received superior care at Cedars Hospice in Monroeville as well as by the staff of Cedars Community Care. She was born in Bethel Park on December 19, 1932 and is the daughter of the late Ignatz and Jeanne Chambon Belback. She is the wife of the late Emery W. Zay, Sr. and is survived by daughter, Teresa with whom she resided; granddaughter, Meghan; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Aukerman of Greensburg and brother, Arthur (Rita) Belback of Bethel Park; and sisters-in-law, Thelma Belback of N. Braddock and Mary Belback of Bethel Park. She was preceded in death by son, Emery W. Zay, Jr. and brothers, Achille and Raymond Belback. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Church where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a Third Order Lay Carmelite with the Holy Spirit Chapter of White Oak.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tues. 6-8 pm and Wed. 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Angela Church. Burial will follow.
