Loretta McGlaughlin, age 81, of West Mifflin, died August 3, 2013. She was born in McKeesport on July 17, 1932 and is the daughter of the late Elmer and Grace Ferguson Landstrom. She is the wife of the late Charles William McGlaughlin, Jr. and the mother of the late, Dawn Nestor.
She is retired from U.S. Steel as an accounts payable secretary for 37 ½ years, a member and organist of the First Presbyterian Church of Clairton, a Past Royal Matron and Secretary of Wilson Memorial Court #40 Order of Amaranth and Past Grand Secretary of Amaranth, Past Matron of Clairton Chapter #316 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy High Priestess of Mt. Zion # 16, White Shrine of Jerusalem and she served as the organist for all her lodges.
She is survived by children; Dean (Deborah) McGlaughlin of Liberty Boro, Daniel (Veronica) McGlaughlin of Duquesne, Dale McGlaughlin of West Mifflin and Denise (Charles) Ardizzone of Eagle River, Alaska, grandchildren; Jennifer, Kristen, William, Erica, Melanie, Matthew, Kaylee, Paige, and Nicole, and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 2-8 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Services will be held Wednesday at 10 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 501 Mitchell St., Clairton, 15025 with Rev. Frank Trotta officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
