Lillian E. Edwards, age 74 of McKeesport died November 6, 2013. She was born in McKeesport on September 17, 1939 and is the daughter of the late Harry and Edna Kerber Weigle and the wife of the late Joseph J. Edwards, Sr.
She was a bus driver for McKeesport Area School District, employed as a Nurse's Aide at McKeesport Hospital and Wightman Manor in Squirrel Hill, and retired as an independent care giver for many years.
Lillian is survived by her children; Kathy (Dave) Tagaloe of McKeesport, Joseph (Deb) Edwards, Jr. of Elizabeth, LaDawn (Jim) Hanson of Chicago, Illinois, John Sacco of McKeesport, Thomas Anderson of McKeesport, Maryann (Shawn) Broadduss of Meadville, and son; the late Richard Frey, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Saturday from 2:00 until 7 pm. Services will be officiated by Reverend Charles Owston. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
