Laverne A. Whiteman, age 87, of Ligonier, died August 2, 2011 in Greensburg, PA. She was born in McKeesport, PA on November 8, 1923 and is the daughter of the Late Lester and Nora Berrier.
She is the wife of the Late William Whiteman and is survived by children Linn (Ruth) Whiteman and Kirk (Liz) Whiteman both of White Oak, sisters Lois Black of Lincoln Place and Pauline Wigand of Cadillac, Michigan, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Gary Whiteman and brother, Leroy Berrier.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177), on Wednesday, August 10 at 3:00PM until 4:00PM when services will be held.
