Kenneth E. George, age 89, of Port Vue, died Sept. 15, 2010. Born in Greenock on July 3, 1921 he is the son of the late Samuel and Emma Haidle George.
He was retired from USX, Duquesne Works as a General Foremen and is a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Pat" Foster George, children Kenneth E. (Mary Ellen) George of Whitehall, Patricia Nelms of Youngstown, OH, and Tammy (Michael) Jakub of Greensburg, grandchildren, Stacie, Ryan, Alexandria, Bethany, Aaron, Susan, Sharon, and Darren, also by one great grandchild.
He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Service, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Sunday from 4-8PM. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at noon.
Entombment will follow.
