Kathleen "Kay" L. Wooster

Kathleen L. "Kay" Wooster, age 89, of Port Vue, died Feb. 7, 2014. She was born in Clairton on Dec. 31, 1924 and is the daughter of the late Alfred and Stella Kuntz Grimenstein. She was raised in Clairton and was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to bake, cook and help everyone she knew. She was a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church and a former President of the F.O.D., past member of the Port Vue American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #447, a volunteer for the Port Vue Fun to Be A Kid Day, former member of the Clairton Eagles Auxiliary and the Eastern Star of McKeesport. She loved to bowl with her lady friends and play bingo.

She is survived by her children; Kathy (Dean) Patterson of Lincoln Boro and Russell J. (Beth) Wooster, Jr. of Port Vue, grandchildren; Melissa (Nick) Kasyan, Kayla Wooster, Russell J. Wooster, lll, Macy Patterson and Shalyn Patterson, great grandchildren; Alexus, Jordyn, Sage and Amara, siblings; Alfred Grimenstein of Las Vegas, NV, Larry (Lois) Grimenstein of Ohio, Jane Kiger of McKeesport, Laura Ann Stetar of Rostraver and Helen Berchok of Elizabeth and her favorite companion; Chloe Ann Wooster the family dog.

She was preceded in death by siblings; Thelma Brodel, Mildred Warnick and Bob Grimenstein and grandson; James Pandocchi.

Friends will be received at the Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market Street, McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow.
