Katherine D. Markos, age 94, of White Oak, died June 3,2011. She was born in Wilmerding on Sept. 24, 1916 and is the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Brletic Matijevic.
She is the wife of the late Thomas Markos and is survived by sons Thomas F. (Amanda) Markos of Fruitland, MD and Ronald M. (Donna) Markos of Penn Twp., grandchildren Justin and Kelly and brother Stephen Matijevic of Wilmerding. She was preceded in death by siblings John, Ann and Barbara.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Mon. from 3:00 until 8:00 pm. Mass will be Tues. at St. Angela Merici Church with Fr. Stephen Chervenak officiating. Burial will follow.
