Joseph "Blackie" Marasco, of McKeesport, died Oct. 24, 2014. He was born in McKeesport and is the son of the late Felix and Pauline Tomanio Marasco. He was retired from Gateway Press as a lithographer. He is survived by brother, John Marasco, of Irwin; sister, Florence Antonella, of McKeesport; nephews, Dan Tagaloe and Dave (Kathy) Tagaloe, of McKeesport, John (MaryLou) Marasco, of Irwin, James (Shelley) Marasco, of Irwin, and Gary (Diane) Antonella, of Elizabeth Township; niece, Rita Sue Weltzer, of Toledo, Ohio; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Mary Ann Tagaloe. Joseph was like a father to Lynn (Gene) Best, of Cleveland, and grandfather figure to Dana (Andrew) Mizsak, of the Cleveland area, and Kristin (Jason) Johns and their children, Lyndsay and Allen, of Murrysville. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor). A funeral liturgy outside of Mass will be held at noon. Burial will be in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
