John "Jay" Pravdica

John “Jay” Pravdica, age 69, of McKeesport, PA, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026. He was born in McKeesport, PA on Apri 9, 1957 and was the son of the late Angelo and Anna Kovacevich Pravdica. Jay was a firefighter for the City of McKeesport for his entire career. His favorite passion was playing ice hockey.

Jay is survived by his brothers, Carey (Pam) Pravdica of Newburgh, IN; Larry (Viki) Pravdica of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his brother, Marty Pravdica.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Jay’s memory at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The McKeesport Firefighter Service will begin at 5:30 p.m.
