John G. Obusek

John G. Obusek, age 81, of McKeesport died on August 22, 2013. He was born on November 17, 1931 in Port Vue and is the son of the late John F. and Elizabeth Meharra Obusek. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and worked at Goodyear Tire Company for many years. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by sisters; Virginia Davis of Plum Borough and Shirley (Walter) Mandella of McKeesport, nieces; Cheryl (Bill) Morris of Madison, OH and Brenda (Bud) Hobson of Geneva, OH and many other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by brothers; Ernest J. Obusek and infant brother, Lawrence Obusek.

He was a member of the Port Vue Vigilant fire company for over 50 years and an avid bridge player attaining the Gold Life Master's ranking as a member of the American Contract Bridge League.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow.
