John C. Juristy

John C. Juristy, age 78, of N. Versailles, died April 30, 2014. He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on Sept. 18, 1935 and is the son of the late John and Bertha Komperda Juristy. He was formerly employed by Thorofare Markets, Potter McCune Company and then retired in 1999 from Super Value as a Produce Specialist. He was a huge sports fan especially of the West Virginia University Mountaineers.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years; June Lawson Juristy, children; Joy Juristy of N. Versailles, Jeffrey (Lisa) Juristy of Munhall, James Juristy and Judy Vigland also of N. Versailles and Jill (Henry) Homa of Donora, grandchildren; Justin Bache, Jessica and Jenna Vigland, Holly and Heather Homa, Jared and Alyssa Juristy, siblings; Walter Juristy of Morgantown, West Virginia, Frank Juristy of Lorain, Ohio and Alice (Bob) Nagy of Fontana, California, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Bache and siblings; Edward Juristy, Bobby Juristy and Helen Billetz.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, 412 678 6177) on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. when the services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery in N. Braddock.
