Joann Juanita Nelson

Joann Juanita Nelson, age 48, of McKeesport, PA, departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2026. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on October 6, 1977, and was the daughter of the late great Genevieve Willard. She was a loving, caring, and dedicated anchor to her family. She was a talented comedian, who enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, swimming, and traveling. She was talented in the kitchen and not only lit up the room with her food but also her personality. She loved nature and enjoyed being one with it.

Joann is survived by her children, Damon Ashley; and Alexis Ashley; siblings, Selena Crawford; William Nelson; Vincent Nelson, Sr.; Tramaine Nelson; and Derrick Davis; nieces and nephews, Janice George; Reco Crawford; Rotley Everett; Jonathan Cash; Gabrielle Nelson; Vincent Nelson, Jr.; William Nelson; Dominic Nelson; and Royalty Nelson; great-niece, Indyia Cash; friends, Tony and Beffy Jackson; and Christina Korp; pets, Doja and Greco Nelson; and everlasting bonds with many people.
