Joan Carol Yonek

Joan Carol Yonek, age 80, of McKeesport, PA, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on January 24, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene Rusnock Heidenfelder. She loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and fast cars.

Joan is survived by her children, Shelly Yonek of Port Vue, PA; Ricki Ann Brooks of McKeesport, PA; and Edward (Leslie) Yonek of Monessen, PA; step-children; grandchildren, Nikki; Cody; Michael; and Shannon; six great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Marge) Heidenfelder of McKeesport, PA; and companion, Edward Hysmith of McKeesport, PA.

In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer T. Yonek; son, Robert E. Yonek; and sister, Dolores (the late Rocco) Ragone.
