Jean Kubala

Jean Kubala, age 82, formerly of Port Vue, died Oct. 27, 2011. She was born in Port Vue on Sept. 23, 1929 and is the daughter of the late Michael and Mary "Effie" Bubanic Mihalek. She is the wife of the late John Kubala. She previously worked at the McKeesport Credit Union and retired from Jefferson Hospital Admissions, was a member of the Port Vue Seniors, St. Mark's Church, and Jednota Lodge. Her favorite hobby was bingo.

She is survived by sons; Dennis (Stacey) Kubala of California, PA, David (Robin) Kubala of Jacksonville, N. Carolina and Thomas of Port Vue, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and sister Kathy (Scott) Beck of Port Vue. She was preceded in death by siblings Patsy Mosqueda and James Mihalek.

Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, 600 Market St., McKeesport, 15132 (412 678 6191) Friday from 4:00 until 9:00 pm. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sat. at 10:00 am with Fr. Daniel Straughn officiating. Entombment will follow.
