Jean L. Appell

Jean L. Appell, age 90, of North Port, Florida, formerly of McKeesport, died August 10, 2014 in Charlotte Harbor Healthcare. She was born in Monessen on May 30, 1924 and is the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Haben Rich and the wife of the late Robert Appell. She was employed as a technician at McKeesport Hospital for 21 years.

She is survived by her daughter; Sandra Tutko of North Port, Florida, grandchildren; Robert (Jennifer) Tutko of Port Vue, Daniel (Cynthia) Tutko of Port Charlotte, Florida, Tamara Tutko Riley of North Port, Florida, great-grandchildren; Caleb and Cailee Fisher, Evan and Brenden Tutko, Georgie and Anthony DeSalvia, niece; Rebecca (Michael) Demanscik and her beloved dog; Chloe who visited her every day. She is preceded in death by her brother; Raymond Rich.

Friends were received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Thursday. Entombment followed.
