Jane Plake

Jane Plake, age 89, of West Mifflin, died June 30, 2013. She was born in McKeesport on Jan. 19, 1924 and is the daughter of the late Nicholas and Ann Magdic Novak. She is the wife of the late John B. Plake, Sr. She is a member and past president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of Holy Trinity Church.

She is survived by her children; Jacqueline (Ray) Colbert, the late John Plake, Janet (Jack) Weaver, Judy Pasternak Plake, Jim (Carol) Plake, Jerome (Debbie) Plake, Jeffrey Plake, Joseph Plake, Jason (Becky) Plake, Joyce (Thomas) Carey, Jacob Plake and Janey (Paul) Cherkes, grandchildren; Jamie and Robert Weaver, Justin, Jessica and Jeremy Pasternak, Julie, Joanie and James Plake, Jennifer Ferris and Jonathan Plake, Jordyn Plake, Ryan, Janel and Caitlin Carey, Katie, Michael and Jack Cherkes, great grandchildren; Morgan Ferris and Aubrianna Kimbrew, siblings; Nicholas Novak, Jr. and Steve Novak.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wed. at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Church Cemetery.
