James Patrick Mains

James Patrick Mains, age 69, of Elizabeth Twp., died on Nov. 19, 2014. He was born in McKeesport on Nov. 12, 1945 and is the son of the late James A. and Winifred Kelly Mains. He was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and Point Park College. He was employed for the P&LE Railroad for many years until they closed and then transferred to CSX Railroad in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a member of the Gaelic Arts Society of Pittsburgh, Astrology Club of Pittsburgh and the Jacksonville Astrology Association. He is survived by his sister; Sarah "Sally" Mains of Elizabeth; Cousins; and his faithful companions, Tommy the cat and dogs, China Moon and Charlie. Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
