Jack W. Geltz, age 86, of McKeesport, died August 4, 2010. Born December 27, 1923 he was the son of the late John and Mary Christian Geltz. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a volunteer for Carnegie Museum where he donated more than 6000 hours, he loved working with children, he was a world traveler, and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Martin dePorres in McKeesport, and was a donor to the Pittsburgh Symphony.
He is survived by cousins and also dear friends William R. Harper of Crescent, PA, Robert B. South of Elizabeth Twp., and Mike Snyder of Library, PA.
Friends will be received at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Market Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-6191) on Friday from 2 to 4 & 6-8 PM with services at St. Martin dePorres on Saturday at 10:00AM. Burial at St. Mary German Cemetery.
