Hazel Fawcett Gerstner, age 91, of Lititz, formerly of White Oak, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in White Oak, PA on March 8, 1919 and is the daughter of the late Glenn and Jenny Morgan Fawcett.
She was the beloved wife of Duane C. Gerstner with whom she celebrated 68 years of marriage. She is also survived by children Nancy (David) Hager of Lititz, PA and Glen D. Gerstner of Columbia, South Carolina, grandchildren Anna Marie and Morgan Gerstner. She was also survived by sister, Lois Fawcett Hill of White Oak. She was preceded in death by sister, Joanne Roper.
Hazel created a warm, supportive, and loving home for her husband and children. She will be remembered by her family for her gentle, caring spirit, loving heart and selflessness.
Hazel was a member of the Home Gardener's Guild and enjoyed the close friendships she established there. She found particular pleasure in a variety of craft activities, creating with dried flowers, and growing natural materials.
Services have been held and were officiated by Pastor Charles Owston. Burial followed.
