Harry C. Walsh, age 83, of McKeesport, died July 15, 2015. He was born in McKeesport on June 4, 1932, and is the son of the late John T. and Henrietta Clay Walsh.
He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a Public Community Sales Representative for Bell Atlantic for 43 years. He was a member of Corpus Christi Church where he served as an usher (formerly with St. Pius V Church), a Controller and Councilman for the City of McKeesport, a constable for the City of McKeesport, a Democratic Committeeman for the 7th Ward of McKeesport, a member of the White Oak American Legion Post #701, the Eleventh Ward Club and a Life Member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers.
He is the husband of the late, Irene Crawford Walsh and is survived by his son; Joseph H. Walsh of McKeesport, daughters; Deborah J. (Bill) Sakowic of Elizabeth Twp. and Harriet L. (Mark) Puma of North Huntingdon. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kaleen M. (Bob) Shuckhart, Nicole L. and Gianna F. Puma, his brother Jack Walsh of McKeesport, sister
Edna Mae (Joseph) Matta of McKeesport and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, (412) 678-6177) on Sunday from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2515 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, PA 15132. Entombment will follow at Mt. Vernon Mausoleum.
